From about 2022 Roger Brown sold his remaining stores to long-time store managers; the last, on the Beltline, on 20 December 2024.
Rocky Rococo Corp. sued First Madco in Waukesha County on March 25, 2010, over whether the renewed franchise agreements kept First Madco's exclusive territory (Dane, Columbia, Iowa, Lafayette, Marquette, Richland, Sauk and Juneau counties). First Madco was spun off in 1987 with nine franchised restaurants in return for Rocky Rococo stock. "A dispute among friends" — Roger Brown.
Advertised its stores as "Rocky's in Madison" (rockysmadison.com) with weekly lunch specials such as the Motheroni Super Slice (2010) and a free Sunday State Journal with any whole pizza on football Sundays (2012).
Styled FMI, doing business as Rocky Rococo Restaurants, in 1992 (17 restaurants, 400 employees, $12 million sales); opened its 18th, the Tree Lane Party Pizzeria, in Aug. 1992.
Office c/o Donald Adkins, 5712 Odana Rd., in June 1994.
In 1995 First Madco recruited managers for Madison, Rockford, Ill., and the Wisconsin Dells from its 5712 Odana Rd. office, and in Oct. advertised 'over 20 years of quality in our hometown of Madison'.
