Carry-out only: no delivery, no dining room. The pizza is cut into squares; the sausage is home-made. The sauce recipe was part of the 2010 sale, with a promise not to divulge it.

The 1960 opening and the 1991 sale are known only from later accounts. The first Midvale store, at 523 S. Midvale Blvd., is in 1962 newspaper ads; when Buck's West at 525 S. Midvale opened is not known.

Described as Milwaukee-style thin crust. No signature pizzas: three sizes (8, 12 and 14 inch) and a choice of toppings, each half separately if wanted; a bake-at-home option; ten receipts earn a free pizza.

Two accounts of 1991: Andy Storkson, the founder's grandson-in-law, was proprietor in April 1991; Bill Buchholz is said to have bought the restaurants in 1991.
Buck's celebrated 50 years in 2010. George Backus came from Racine, where he had managed the Meadowbrook Country Club, and from 1962 ran the "W" Club concessions for 22 years; the Midvale store moved to University Avenue "a couple of years" before 2010.
