The Monkey Business Institute improv troupe performed weekly at the Atwood Avenue store through the early 2010s.
The company's first sit-down restaurant, 'complete with chairs, candlelight, a waiter, and two bars', opened about a month before Oct. 14, 2002 'in what had been a saloon for as long as anyone can remember': dark green walls, the tavern's wooden bar upstairs, the basement 'Dime Store' bar set with nickels and dimes; calzones, lasagna, subs and fish 'n' chips.
