Nick Pjevach opened Cafe Porta Alba in 2006 at 15 N. Butler St. — "where Naples 15 is now" — and moved it to Hilldale in 2009; the Pompeii-design oven came from Naples. He closed to move to Baltimore.

Correction: the owner who opened Cafe Porta Alba in 2006 and closed it in 2019 was Vincenzo Pugliese (the earlier note's "Nick Pjevach" was a transcription error). Nick Mattioli was his head chef before Novanta, and his partner in it.
