'''Sbarro''' ("Sbarro – The Italian Eatery") is a national chain of shopping-mall food-court counters from New York that sells pizza by the slice. It came to Madison in 1987 with the food court at West Towne Mall, and opened a second counter at East Towne Mall in 1989.

==Pizza==
In 1987 the supreme pizza was $1.79 for "a large wedge". The reviewer found it soggy from the heat lamps. The counter also sold calzones and lasagna<ref name="wsj-1987-12-13-p111" />.
