The founders are Shaz Khan and Antonio Gambino, friends from high school in Roseville, Minnesota. The restaurant is named for Gambino's brother Frank and his father Andrea, from Sicily, who sold pizza by the slice in downtown Minneapolis<ref name="mc-2025-04-11-frank-andrea" />; Gambino's mother is from Philadelphia, and the menu is "a Sicilian/Philly mash-up"<ref name="ct-2026-08-19-pO47" />. The partners also run Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks in the Twin Cities<ref name="mc-2025-04-11-frank-andrea" />.<br />
