Dahmen’s Pizza

From Madison Pizza Wiki
(Redirected from Dahmen's Pizza)

Dahmen’s Pizza existed at the former location of Brat Und Brau and Hooter’s, on Grand Canyon Drive & Mineral Point Rd.

History

Brothers Justin and Tyler Dahmen opened the restaurant on April 30, 2010[1], having bought the business that had briefly been Pizza Oven West[2]. They kept its pizza buffet ($7.49 at lunch, $8.49 at dinner) and added nine specialty pies, deep-fried Parmesan breadsticks and a Friday fish fry[1]. A 2013 feature counted 10 to 15 employees, many of them family, a salad bar, a banquet room for 100, and a program that trained special-needs students from Memorial High School[3]. The brothers were alumni of nearby Memorial High School, where their father was principal at the time the restaurant opened. The restaurant was somewhat of a continuation of Pizza Oven West, including some of that menu, but added nightly specials and a Friday Fish Fry[4].

Closed some time prior to Sept, 2019 when the same location was mentioned as the site of a new chinese restaurant[5]. The closing date was Friday, June 3, 2016; the brothers turned to a new pub[6].

  • Application for liquor license in mid-April 2010[7].

Locations

The sole location for this restaurant was located at Clock Tower Court, in the same location as a former Hooter’s, as well as a Brat Und Brau.
