437 State Street stands where State, Broom and Gilman streets meet. It held three pizza businesses in succession.

Businesses

  • Gargano’s Pizzeria (1960s to about 1984). Biagio Gargano sold the restaurant before he opened The Monastery in November 1980[1]; Gargano's and Aunt Ruth's left the building about a year before Noble Roman's arrived[2].
  • Noble Roman’s (January 1985 to 1986)[2][3].
  • Peter Depesto's (by October 1986), with Noble Roman's old telephone number[4].
