15 N. Butler St., in Butler Plaza just off East Washington Avenue "underneath Capital Fitness", has held three pizzerias since 2005.

Timeline

  • To 2005: at least three coffee shops in five years[1].
  • About October 2005 to 2006: Sal's Pizzeria, run by Efraim Elmazi of Casa Bianca[1].
  • 2006 to March 2009: Cafe Porta Alba, Madison's first Neapolitan pizzeria, which applied for its license in May 2006 and reviewed as "new" in December[2][3]. It closed when the lease ran out and moved to Hilldale[4].
  • June to August 2009: Old Market Bistro, Forrest "Kipp" Thomas's restaurant, which closed two months after opening[5][6].
  • July 2012 to present: Naples 15, another Neapolitan pizzeria[7].
