North Shore Pizza and Subs is an East Coast-style pizza and sub shop at 4503 Monona Dr., Monona, across from Monona Grove High School. It opened on August 22, 2022[1], in the former Rossi's Pizza & Vintage Arcade[2].

History

The owners, Dennis and Savannah Laubner, had moved to Sun Prairie from the Boston area about two years before. Dennis Laubner grew up on Boston's North Shore and spent 15 years working in pizza and sub shops. They bought Rossi's from its founder, Ross Parisi, who closed it on May 31, 2022, and kept its arcade[3][2][4].

Pizza

  • New York-style pizza with a medium-thick crust[1]; the dough is made every morning and the tomato sauce is fresh[2][4].
  • A 16-inch cheese pizza was planned at $13.99[2]; a 12-inch small cost $8.99 in 2022[1].
  • Besides pizza: North Shore roast beef sandwiches and other subs[4].

Trivia

  • A picture of the Boston skyline covers the main wall[1].

Locations

  • 4503 Monona Dr., Monona (August 22, 2022 to present).
