Chicago (deep dish)
From Madison Pizza Wiki
Chicago deep dish pizza is baked in a deep pan, with a tall crust at the edge. It is often confused with stuffed pizza, which has a second layer of dough over the filling, and with pan pizza.
In Madison
- Pizzeria Uno, the Chicago chain most associated with deep dish, had restaurants in Madison from 1984[1] to 2022[2].
- Edwardo's was declared "Best Deep-Dish Pizza" in a 1994 roundup, though it is best known for stuffed pizza.
