Jason Schleip and Rob Robbins, friends from Kenosha and UW students, opened in a 550-square-foot, $500-a-month space in the 500 block of University Avenue; the name was in Robbins's family, the sauce his grandmother's. Schleip bought Robbins out within a year, franchised Iowa City in 1997 and owned the Park Street flagship until 2008; by 2010 every store was franchisee-owned.
The Mason Lounge on South Park Street had Falbo's deliver 12-inch pies by 2010.
An $8,945 judgment of Mar. 21, 2003 was docketed against the operator of Falbo's Pizza in favour of Jon Okonek, licence agent of the neighbouring Maddog's Pub & Pizzeria at 620 University Ave.
Falbo Bros. supplied the food menu of Mad Dog's Sports Pub & Pizzeria next door at 620 University Ave. from at least Feb. 1996.
