Has expanded to Iowa and Texas. Took part in the Black Restaurant Week Jamboree Taste in 2020.
Falbo pizza was served next door at Mad Dogs, 620 University Ave., around 1999.
Jason Schleip and Rob Robbins, friends from Kenosha and UW students, opened in a 550-square-foot, $500-a-month space in the 500 block of University Avenue; the name was in Robbins's family, the sauce his grandmother's. Schleip bought Robbins out within a year, franchised Iowa City in 1997 and owned the Park Street flagship until 2008; by 2010 every store was franchisee-owned.
The Mason Lounge on South Park Street had Falbo's deliver 12-inch pies by 2010.
