Patrick DePula is the owner of Salvatore's Tomato Pies. Though a pizza chef, he's typically regarded as one of Madison's culinary luminaries. As with many pizza chefs, he's not formally trained. This prompted a restaurant critic to refer to him as a "Dark Horse", a moniker he later used for his Livingston St. location.
