George Portesi baked pizzas in a tavern near Chicago from 1939 and at an Almond resort from 1944, and moved the family pizza business to Paul's Bar in Stevens Point about 1954. Rusty Mitch, his grandson, ran Portesi Italian Foods in 2013.
In Madison, a Sentry coupon of June 1980 offered frozen Portesi Sausage Pizza, and in 1985 Portesi Italian Foods of Stevens Point sought a salesperson to sell frozen pizza fund raisers to Madison-area schools.
