Taggers acid-etched its front window (Dec. 2000, owner Tom Beach); the 2001 mid-State Street parking ramp was planned for the lot 'next to Pizzeria Uno'; by April 2004 the building was owned by Urban Land Interests and considered for the garage project.

In 1990 the downtown Uno advertised itself as 'Voted Madison's Best Pizza Restaurant', ran a 'Camp Uno' summer promotion and sold $5 personal deep-dish box suppers at Concerts on the Square (a State Journal reviewer found the pizza 'doughy and unexciting').

Two three-star reviews in May 1992 (Margaret Collins, Jay Rath) praised the Numero Uno and found the new pasta dishes ordinary; the 'Plizzetta' thin-crust line launched in June 1992 got one star from Rath in August ('like Bisquick from a box'); both stores delivered by 1992.
