Statements
Davis Donnelly began making Roma pizzas for grocery stores at his Roman Inn in Eau Claire, then bought a creamery to make them in; in 1965 he set up a large frozen pizza plant in Black River Falls. Sold to Bernatello's in 2000.
A Madison new-store opening ad of December 1964 offered free Roma Pizza, probably this brand.
Still on Madison grocery shelves in 2023: Madison Magazine counted Roma among the Wisconsin-founded brands at the west-side Woodman's.
