Statements
Began as Guiseppe's, Biagio Gargano's pizzeria of 1962 near Randall and University avenues, before the move to State Street and the Gargano's name.
Won the Daily Cardinal's delivery-pizza contests of 1971 and 1972 (4th in 1973, last in 1974). Reviewer favorites: Pizza a la Napoletana with imported pear tomatoes, garlic bread under mozzarella and romano, the Togo sub, Biagio's roast beef sandwich; Pizza in the Pan by 1974.
