At the end of August, Pizza Extreme closed its original East Washington outlet in favor of a closer-to-Downtown location at 1614 Monroe Street
west to Highland Avenue and Woodrow Street, east to Commercial and Clyde Gallagher avenues, south to Olin Avenue
The original store, in a former market and liquor store that the founders remodelled themselves.
Rath, Sept. 1994: 'The stuffed pizza is the great specialty, and many believe it's the best in town. The owners are veterans of Pizza Pit and Edwardo's Natural Pizza, and the crust is very similar to Supreme Pizza's — doughier than Pit's. Toppings include spinach and pesto.' Open 11 a.m.–2 a.m. Tue–Sat.
1995 ad: 'Open Late' to 2:45 a.m. Fri–Sat; 'Extreme Team' two-pizza deal; 21 toppings; ten sandwiches on bread baked daily; wings with ten sauces; delivery to campus, downtown, near east and near west.
'Stuffed pizza is their specialty. Carryout, delivery' (1995 student guide).
