Rosati’s Pizza is a pizza chain from the Chicago area. It has had a restaurant on Mineral Point Road on Madison's west side since March 2000, and had one on the east side from November 1999 until about 2008.

Trivia

  • "Rich Fitzgerald, 39, opened Madison's first Rosati's Nov. 8 [1999] near East Towne, at 4933 Commercial Ave.", Samara Kalk wrote in April 2000, with a full menu of Italian beef, pasta, shrimp, chicken and ribs besides the pizza. The second, "Rosati's Authentic Chicago Pizza, 6644 Mineral Point Road", strictly take-out and delivery, had opened two weeks earlier in the Clock Tower Court mall — "otherwise known as the Hooters Mall" — under Gregg and Clarissa Edwardsen, the owners of Vin Santo in Middleton. There were then about 120 Rosati's, mostly in Chicago[1].
  • The west side store was already listed in the Capital Times restaurant guide of October 28, 1999, as "Rosati's Authentic Chicago Style Pizza, 6644 Mineral Point Rd." with "Please call for hours" — a listing taken before it opened[2].
  • Rosati's is first found in Madison in December 1999, in an advertisement by the merchants of Clock Tower Court[3].
  • In May 2026 it was licensed at 6644 Mineral Point Rd., in the name of TMK Restaurant Inc.[4]
  • There was also an East Side Rosati's at 4933 Commercial Ave.: it was on the January 2005 list of restaurants cited for health violations in 2004[5], and a March 2008 coupon advertised "Rosati's of Madison: East 4933 Commercial Ave., West 6644 Mineral Point Road", "celebrating over forty years of great taste"[6]. Its closing date has not been found.
  • A December 2010 list of Dining Club restaurants gave "Rosati's West, 6644 Mineral Point Road, Madison", telephone (608) 833-9300[7].
  • Clock Tower Court is also where Pizza Oven West and Dahmen’s Pizza were, at 6654 Mineral Point Rd. Rosati's has been at 6644 in the same shopping center since at least 2010.

Locations

  • 6644 Mineral Point Rd. (about March 30, 2000[1]; licensed in May 2026).

Former Locations

  • 4933 Commercial Ave. (November 8, 1999[1] to at least March 2008[5][6]).
