Two stores in October 1985 (6640 University Ave. Middleton, 3579 E. Washington Ave.): 'Family style menu featuring pizza, chicken, subs and salad bar. Lunch delivery'.
1985 Cheese-off: one of the few Madison pizza restaurants with a 'family' atmosphere rather than student trade; shrimp and pineapple toppings; 15-inch 'family size'; honored competitors' coupons.
Fall 1984: a new 'home style' pan pizza 'to augment their original popular thin crust pizza — best of both worlds'; delivery from the Middleton store.
In 1983 both parlors had live music: ragtime piano and banjo sing-alongs at Shakey's East (3579 E. Washington Ave.), bass, fiddle and banjo at Shakey's West in Middleton; weekday lunches offered two slices for one.
